Named after the song "Hey Girl" by Stephen Sanchez because these lyrics resonated with me when I heard them while I painted, "Hey girl with your head in the clouds. I want to know you. I want to love you." I thought about how it felt like I was getting to know my inner artist and inner child – what she really envisions her life looking like and what she wants to create. This painting was born from the idea of my vision board.
